About Lutheran Churches
The Lutheran
Church—Missouri Synod
operates the largest
Protestant school system
in the U.S., with
schools in every state
and in many other
countries.
Our experience with
schools can be traced
all the way back to the
1600’s and the arrival
of the first Lutherans
upon this continent.
This year approximately
300,000 children are
enrolled in Lutheran
Schools nationwide and
the number is growing
annually.
We offer services to all
children. About half of
our students are not
Lutheran.
Lutheran Schools have a
proven, comprehensive
program of quality
education.
Our teachers integrate
the Christian faith into
their daily curriculum.
We seek to assist
parents in developing
characteristics
necessary for success as
a citizen and as a
Christian in adult life.
