We have a low student to teacher ratio and feel that's truly an advantage of our school. Our staff are always accessible to every student and parent, which is also an advantage. 

School Board Members

This will be Mrs. Stewart's third year at Concordia Christian Academy.  She taught for
seven years at the Montessori School of Jonesboro.  She has also taught in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin.  She is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther Teachers College in New Ulm,
Minnesota.  She and her husband, Robert, have one daughter.  Joy is a member of
Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Mrs. Shewmaker will begin her sixth year of teaching at Concordia Christian Academy
this school year.  Nancy is a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia,
Missouri.  Nancy has also taught at Montessori School of Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Prior to
her positions in teaching, she home schooled her own children for eight years.  She and
her husband, Russell, have three sons.  Nancy is a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in
Jonesboro, Arkansas.

1st/2nd grade: Mrs. Laura Jones

3rd/4th grade:  Mrs. Rachel Houston 

Prior to teaching at CCA last year, Rachel has taught for one year at Governor Bent Elementary School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  She graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico.  Rachel and her husband, Jason, are members of Bay Assembly of God.

This will be Cheryl's second year at Concordia Christian Academy.  She has over 20 years
teaching experience having taught in schools in Pennsylvania, and Florida.  Cheryl has
a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Concordia University in Seward,
Nebraska.  She has also completed an administrators program through the Lutheran
Church--Missouri Synod.  Cheryl is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg.
